Commissioning Addresses to be given by

Elaine Eng, MD

 

Dr. Eng is Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Weill-Cornell Medical College. A graduate of Princeton University and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Elaine began residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology which was interrupted in the third year when she developed blindness. She went on to complete her training in psychiatry and has maintained a private practice for over 16 years. She serves as the President of the Board of Directors at the Boro Pregnancy Counseling Center in Flushing and is on faculty at The Alliance Theological Seminary’s Graduate School of Counseling. She has authored two books Martha, Martha: How Christians Worry and A Christian Approach to Overcoming Disability: A Doctor’s Story. She and her husband reside in New York, have two grown children,and attend Chinese Evangel Mission Church of Queens. Elaine has served in Thailand and Kenya to provide spiritual care and medical updates to missionaries in Asia and Africa

Brent Hambrick, MD

Brent Hambrick, MD, is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Medical School and is double boarded in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine. Dr. Hambrick served as Chief Resident at the largest Family Practice residency program in the US–the John Peter Smith Family Medicine Residency in Fort Worth, Texas–and worked in emergency medicine prior to relocating his family to the central American country of Honduras. Currently serving as the Executive Director of MedMissions. he with his wife and ten children have a vital ministry to patients and the community there. He has served with Global Health Outreach and the Hospital Evangelico in Honduras. Dr. Hambrick is a frequent presenter at the annual Global Missions Health Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. A man of vision and adventure, he is also a humble servant, whom God has wonderfully used in the lives of the underserved in Honduras.
