Dr. Alice (known as ‘Ali’) Ko started as the CMDA NYC area director in August 2006. Since then, she has ministered to Christian medical students, residents, fellows, and attendings in the New York City area. She graduated from the combined undergraduate and medical program at Northwestern University and completed her OB/GYN residency at Johns Hopkins University. In addition to her ministry work, she works as a part-time gynecologist at YAI (Young Adults Institute), taking care of the disabled and mentally retarded population. Her goal is to help maintain Christian fellowship among medical students and physicians throughout their sometimes brutal training and continued challenges as attendings. In her spare time, she also enjoys medical missions work, having served most recently in Honduras in 2008 and Malaysia in 2007.  She recently got engaged on August 22, 2008.  Contact Area Director.
