<p><span><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Missions Trip to Albania &#8211; March 11-15, 2009<br />

On <strong>March 11-15</strong>, <strong>Dr. Al Weir</strong>, Hematologist and VP of Campus &amp; Community Ministries for CMDA, with <strong>Dr. Mark Johnston</strong>, Gastroenterologist, and President of Albania Health Fund, will be traveling to <strong>Albania </strong>to lead a weekend clinical and spiritual conference for Albanian medical students. About 75 students, of whom 2/3 are not Christian, will be gathered at a seaside &#8220;resort&#8221; for a time of learning, small groups and fun. Our goal will be to bring many students toward a relationship with Christ and to strengthen the Albanian Christian student leaders. We believe that 2-3 Christian medical students from America would greatly enhance our mission by developing Christian relationships and taking part in the small groups. This is a unique type of international missions.</span></p>

Their goal is not only to promote and support medical, dental, optometric outreaches to medical under-served areas, but also to connect people who want to change the world for Christ. <blockquote><p>- <strong>Non-medical personnel</strong> run the pharmacy, run the eye clinic, help with dental cleaning/sterilization, share the gospel<br />
- <strong>1st &amp; 2nd year students</strong> shadow attending physicians, run the pharmacy, run the eye clinic, help with dental cleaning/sterilization, share the gospel<br />
- <strong>3rd &amp; 4th year students</strong> see patients, share the gospel<br />
- <strong>Residents </strong>see patients, share the gospel<br />
- <strong>Attendings </strong>see patients, supervise medical students and residents, share the gospel</p></blockquote>

<li>How Much? Estimated cost = <strong>$1,600</strong> [$850/person + plane ticket (app. $750/person)]</li>
</ul>
<p>The $850 includes everything for the trip including food, lodging, medicines, dental supplies, optometric equipment, Christian literature, and in-country transportation. Details of support raising will be discussed at future meetings and in future emails.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Money is tight</strong></span> for this group of warm-hearted individuals who seek to administer to the poor and spread the Gospel in Haiti.
